On3 L45t T1m3: Multiple Blessings

Weeks seem to fly by. I am now beginning on the official job hunt. Life is good and busy. I have just so many things I want to do before I get a job it's incredible. Of course, at the top of that list is to take as many photos as possible!

I won't get to do that as often as I like when I am stuck in an office...

Mocha and Enoki are proud parents to a second litter. Enoki seems to have learnt from experience and is eating a lot better than when she had her first litter. The evidence is in the fact that these three 8-day-olds are a lot chubbier than their older siblings.

I've been wanting to keep another Syrian hamster for a long, long time. I've even found a shop that sells the cutest, most darling Syrians I've seen in a long time! I have managed to refrain from taking one home since I found the shop over three months ago.

Somehow I have been very blessed. My friend just called me to say she would like me to have her entire stash of hamster cages, tanks, wheels and water bottles, as well as whatever supplies she has on hand.

I was stunned for awhile - according to her, one of the tanks is a 1.5 footer and can house a Syrian!

I was amazed. So yes - pick up is arranged for Monday afternoon. So maybe I can keep a Syrian after all :) But - we shall see...

Another avenue in which I was incredibly blessed today: I decided to print some of my macros :)

I selected 48 of them out of what must be close to 60,000 raws (it's not fun digging around in a bunch of 50 CDs trying to find what you want >____>!!) and took them to a shop I'd never been to before.

Initially I had this completely clueless look about me because I'd never printed digitals in my life. I'd never had the need to, you see. So I must have looked something like a bimbotic fool standing in front of the counter. (And I'd picked today to deck myself in a spaghetti strap and light blue jeans and platform slippers, complete with sunglasses >____> Well it was a HOT day!! I was roasted just walking out to the bus stop!!)

Well, I don't know what they thought of me then, but when they saw what I wanted to print, they swarmed around and just ogled at my macros of hammies, flowers, leaves and waterdrops. They kept asking me questions and stuff about the photos. They were impressed that my powershot could deliver such photos :)

I thought that secretly, perhaps they even thought this girl didn't look like a photographer at all >____>

They were so impressed with me that they gave me loads of discounts. Instead of paying well over $250, I only paid $142 :) They were hoping to keep my custom, they said :)

I was so moved, so excited that I walked out of the shop with trembling hands. I never imagined that my photos could move strangers who deal with photos everyday, day in, day out. I simply never realised I could take such photos if at all. I know how it sounds, but trust me. I just never realised.

My suspicions were confirmed later on when the boss spoke to me when I came back to collect the photos. He asked me kindly who the photographer was >__________<

I am not sure what I said or how I said it! I need to ask Rz what I actually said, but I know I said it was me :P

He asked about my camera again, and we chatted for awhile :) I'm definitely going back :) Perhaps I'm biased because they like my photos?? But I don't care!! Hehehe!!
